Dear Sirs,

For the attention of Mr. G.{Mr Griffiths - Chief Accountant / Mr Gnapp} Ratcliffe

We beg to acknowledge receipt of your letter of the 4th instant, reference as above, and note your remarks regarding the choke valve spring for the DC.42 carburetter.

The spring to Drawing EX.777 was made to the requirements which you laid down, and we regret to find they did not give you what you required.

On the other hand, however, we are pleased to note that the present production spring to drawing P.17068 fulfils all your requirements, and that you do not wish to depart from that spring.

We are at a loss to understand the second paragraph of your letter, however, since at no time has Spring P.17068 been altered.

The 9 EEC.42 by-pass jets size .055" to which you refer in your letter were posted to you on the 2nd instant.

We thank you for your good wishes and we shall be pleased if you would kindly accept from us in return our best wishes for the New Year.

Yours faithfully,

THE ZENITH CARBURETTER CO. LTD.
