For the attention of C. Falconer, Esq.

Dear Sirs,

Re: Wide Frame 25/30 HP.

We desire to make a scheme for transverse stays between the rear of the body and the chassis of the above car, on the lines of those on the Phantom lll.

The chassis ends of the stays will be attached to the outer ends of the 2nd crossmember of the chassis. (The one in front of the petrol tank).

In the case of the Enclosed Limousine Six-Light, the inner ends will go to a steel plated wooden body crossmember at the base of the rear squab-board.

In order that we may make a scheme which will be easily applicable to the Enclosed Limousine and also the 4-Door Saloon and the Close Coupled Limousine, we would be glad if you could send us cross-sectional tracings inside elevation of the base of these bodies shewing the boards and cross members over an area approximately 2 ft.6 ins. in front and to the rear of the chassis second crossmember. In some bodies, if a suitable crossmember for the attachment of these stays does not exist it may be necessary to introduce such a member.

Yours faithfully,

FOR ROLLS-ROYCE LIMITED.
