CWB HS{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} Y8230 To Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} from RHC.{R. H. Coverley - Production Engineer} RHC{R. H. Coverley - Production Engineer}3/EE. 17.6.27. We have to-day despatched 2 - Butterfly Valves for the Phantom Exhaust Downtake Pipes, which are to be fitted to chassis - 70.EF and 103.MC. These valves can be fitted by the driver at Conduit Street. It should only be necessary to break the joint, remove the old valve and place the new one in position. The dimension over the flanges of the bushes has been kept on the tight side, so that it may be necessary to remove a certain amount from the faces of the bosses in the bearing, but this should be done to the best advantage in order to keep the valve in the central position. It should also be noted that valve should have from .010 to .015 side play. We attach a sketch which may be helpful when fitting these valves. RHC.{R. H. Coverley - Production Engineer} | ||
