R.R. 493A (40 H) (SL 42 12-7-23). J.H., D.{John DeLooze - Company Secretary} X9910 Expl. No. 9910 4214 REF: Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}3/LG11.2.24. EXPERIMENTAL REPORT. To R.{Sir Henry Royce} from Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} c. to CJ. RG.{Mr Rowledge} c. to E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} DA.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design} c. to BY.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} WOR.{Arthur Wormald - General Works Manager} S E C R E T. BRAKES. We have had the car running again fitted with the low speed servo. The modifications instructed by RG.{Mr Rowledge} have overcome the fault of the pedal being dragged on and not releasing. We find that the pedal pressure required is considerably greater than that required on the Hispano. We propose measuring the in-put and out-put of the servo. It is possible that we shall find, similar to our experience with plate clutches on the car, the co-efficient of friction is lower than anticipated. Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} | ||
