RM{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/HG c. to Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} c. to Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Swd1 454 De.10/C.24.5.38. BENTLEY 111 - CAM FORMS FOR ALTERNATIVE CAM LIFT. E.CD. 673. Please receive herewith E.CD.681 Modified Exhaust Cam Forms Bentley 111. E.CD.682 Modified Inlet Cam Form. Bentley 111. These cam forms are developed from the valve lift curves shown on E.CD.673, which has previously been issued at the request of Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Swd1.2/AP.12.4.38. and are regarded as alternative to the previous cam form to E.CD.167. The opening side of both inlet and exhaust cams are alike, as also are the closing sides, except that the exhaust cam has a dwell of 2½ camshaft degrees immediately after full open position, so as to increase duration of exhaust opening by 5º on crankshaft, other than this dwell on the exhaust cam the shape of the closing side of both cam forms remain as on the previous form E.CD.167. Will you please instruct for a camshaft to be made to these forms experimentally. DA.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design} | ||
