Re: COMPLAINTS OF MISFIRES Testing of Sparking Plugs With reference to our Sr/VAI/ET.1.12.36, we are pleased to say that we have up to the time of writing experienced no sparking plug trouble on chassis B.8.GA and B.60.GA, Paris Trials Cars. CHASSIS B.8.GA On the 27.II.36, we fitted a new set of "K.L.G." type 850 sparking plugs. The car had then covered a total mileage of 24.900 Kms. This car has been run on AZUR petrol and has run 5855 Kms. since fitting the new plugs. CHASSIS B.60.GA On the 27.II.36, a new set of "K.L.G." type 850 plugs were fitted to this car, on which only ESSO petrol has been used during the 10.000 miles white metal main bearing test. No trouble was experienced with the plugs in any way. This car, which is at present in the South of France, has covered about 20.000 Kms. on the plugs as at present fitted. During the plug test, chassis B.60.GA was driven at a fairly high average speed, viz. about 84 K.P.H. Chassis B.8.GA has also been driven at fairly high speeds. We have been given to understand that it is traffic work coupled with the use of ETHYL petrol that usually causes plug trouble. Sr/VA. (Signature) * D.Stroud Paper * (Watermark) | ||
