R.R. 235A (100 T) (S.H. 738. 10-12-20) G.{Mr Griffiths - Chief Accountant / Mr Gnapp} 3947 ORIGINAL RECEIVED JUL 13 1922 To Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} from R.{Sir Henry Royce} R2/M10.7.22. (under separate cover) X198 X4097 We are returning the 6 large porcelain ignition plugs which failed on Goshawk. Two failed completely and the others appear to be going. The porcelain is apparently of wrong material and I doubt if the design is a wise one. Regarding K.L.G. plugs, none of these so far as I know have failed in any way. I was not aware the price was so moderate as 3/- each. The statement that the K.L.G. plugs failed at Ricardo's was to warn you against over confidence in this particular pattern. I understand that they will not bear aero engine conditions. R.{Sir Henry Royce} | ||
