There are many similar issues of which it could be argued correctly they would be improvements, and the point at present under discussion certainly would improve the final product, but if we go back on your emphatic instructions which do not err on the side of ambiguity, then it means I shall have to put before you every issue that is raised from all sources.

Personally, I interpreted your instructions to mean that delivery was so urgently necessary that I must not consider any minor improvements at all under present circumstances, and this idea is one I have endeavoured to rigidly adhere to.

I am certain that the point discussed above will be the basis of criticism from Sales when chassis are delivered, but it cannot be brought within your definition of what I should consider, and I have therefore definitely refused to alter it, although I feel sure it will be put up against Works later.
