Mr. Lucas understood to send to Mr. Whitehead the estimated cost of converting existing machines held in stock by Rolls-Royce to the new lengthened model, on instructions being received to proceed with the work, everything would be done by Lucas to make the change as quickly as possible.

X.3945. BRUSHES. It was suggested that a new brush, type E80 should be used on all dynamos and Lucas were to send 6 sets immediately for fitting to Rolls-Royce test cars. If it could be agreed that these did not increase the noise of the machines they would be acceptable to Rolls-Royce, and Mr. Lucas stated that very marked improvement in wearing qualities would be obtained.

Information as to the result of these tests was to be communicated to Lucas in time to enable them to fit the converted machines with the improved brush if found desirable.

X.4338. GOSHAWK II Lucas were invited to submit a complete electrical scheme for the above which they understood to do.

X.1357 Concealed cable lamp bracket. It was agreed that Lucas should submit a standard model of this fitting for submission to Mr. Royce.
