memo. In principle we agree with the contents of your You know of course that one of the 15 is in your possession with the stream-line body.

We are anxious not to spend money in doing this in a non-essential way. Perhaps therefore you would be good enough to let us know what modifications you propose to effect to the 14 cars, which are absorbed at present as follows :-

X These are all sold but will not be delivered to the purchasers until some time in March.

In regard to the modifications that you decide to do, will you please let us know when you would like to have any of the above cars and how many you can deal with at any one time.

In a memo. received from St.{Capt. P. R. Strong} this morning, I notice that with regard to Rippon's Trials Car EP.{G. Eric Platford - Chief Quality Engineer} had already arranged with Rippons to send it to W. so that certain modernisations could be effected. Presumably these are the modernisations you have in mind in connection with the first 14. If that is the case then one car is already accounted for.
