Rem x494 346 To BY.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} from Da.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design} Da.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design}1/HP.9.6.34. c. WOF. T. Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} Hey. RHO. SpectreCodename for Phantom III - Front suspension. To meet the difficulty anticipated by Tool Department in finishing the lower roller bearing race when solid with the yoke piece, we have introduced a separate roller bearing housing, as shewn on N. Sch.4085 herewith. This also enables the yoke piece itself to be in Nickel C.S. instead of CHNS. There seemed to be a similar difficulty in the case of the upper triangle arm, the roller race being solid with the arm, but the difficulty is not so great here. As however it enables the arm to be made in Ni.C.S. instead of CHNS. we have shewn a proposal for a separate roller race in this case also. Da.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design} | ||
