Dear Sirs,
For the attention of Mr. E. {Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} Milner.

We have decided in future to abandon the use of grease in connection with your grease gun and fittings and to use in place, thick oil. We find that oil gives definitely better results and also we can use oil on all parts of the chassis.

Using oil with your gun, we find is helpful because we do not get such high pressure and therefore the flexible connections last longer. With grease we have found they only have a very short life.

Now we have decided to use oil all round, we wish to use the gun for lubricating universal joints, and in that case we wish to inject about a quarter of the capacity of your gun in the joints. This is a very tedious job with the screw thread designed to suit the grease. We suggest that when the gun is used for oil, it would be an advantage to use a quicker thread.

We have lately tried the Saal Oil Gun. This is a very simple and very effective lubricator.

We should like to hear from you whether, in view of the fact that we have decided to use oil, there are any modifications which you could suggest to your Gun to meet our conditions.

Yours faithfully,
