1360 Experimental Dept. Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Swdl.{Len H. Swindell}5/MH.{M. Huckerby} 25th. April 1938. The Tempered Spring Co., Burton Weir Works, SHEFFIELD 4. For the attention of Mr.Young. Dear Sirs, We have received the 1300 valve springs to EB.3256 and regret to say that the grinding off at the ends is very badly carried out, so much so that the inspection dept. are rejecting them. The finish is much inferior to the previous sets of springs we have received from you and we should be pleased if you could come over as soon as possible when the matter can be discussed and a decision reached. Yours faithfully, for ROLLS-ROYCE LTD. | ||
