L.H.S.S. FRONT AXLE LUBRICATION.

Connecting the axles to the centralised lubrication system requires a modification to the arrangement on the front axle, and we send herewith N. Sch. 3060 shewing a filter and non-return valve for the special drip plug for the axle pivots made by the stand-pipe in the hole in the pivot.

The filter needs to be larger than that of an ordinary drip plug, but need not be as large as half the existing Enots filter, as oil for less than half the number of drip plugs goes through it. There are, of course, two of these valves and filters. The drilling of the axle is being slightly modified. We shall send you immediately instructions for the pipes coming on to the axles from the springs.
