Connecting rods.
Connecting rods, to E.73762/3 with M/S bushes E.73767 in big end to L.H.C. 208I (Sch.2.A.)
We have had no indication that these are not in a satisfactory condition.

Bonnet & fittings.
Bonnet fitted with 20 HP; handles. Bonnet handles & catches to E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} Sch. 2037.
The bonnet is in good condition. On N.S. it has settled down until the bottom is resting on the bonnet fastener bracket. This clearance should be increased in the first instance. The O.S.R. bonnet fastener failed in its action, due to the spindle becoming bent. These do not appear to be strong enough. After dismantling & straightening the spindle, this functioned O.K. The O.S. bonnet strip appears to be too weak, & insufficiently supported to the chassis frame. Also, the rivetted portion on this strip gave way either side where lock is situated, by the continual lugging of the bonnet during the time the bonnet fastener was out of action. The aluminium rivets do not appear to have sufficient turn over on the rivetted side.

Engine guards.
We consider these to be very good. The engine has kept remarkably clean during our runs in heavy rains and very muddy roads.

Radiator.
This is in a very good condition.

Radiator suspension, shutter & controls.
The radiator suspension is in very good condition. The shutters have operated perfectly, and the controls are in good condition. An average of one to four notches on the quadrant has given a sufficient opening of the radiator shutters to allow an average water temperature of 80°C.

Dashboard & brackets.
These are O.K.

Steering column & box.
Steering "B" type, 0.720" lead steering worm & nut. F.73465/6 with steel core for white metal threads.
The bolts in brackets or dashboard & frame have remained tight. There has been no loss of oil in steering box. The rocker shaft bearings are in good condition, & pendulum lever has remained firm on shaft. The binding effect experienced at the beginning of test is now felt only at extreme locks, when steering at slow speeds. We have not found the slower worm detrimental to steering in traffic. The steering at high speeds on good roads gives two results. When the road is unevenly cambered, the steering feels unstable. With a good flat surface, the steering is very good, but very light. A little more friction in pivots we think would be advisable. At slow speeds the steering is such that one can steer round corners comfortably with one hand. The shocks on steering which have been experienced are nothing to be compared with those experienced on 93 NK. There are times when travelling
