Dear Sirs,

We are in receipt of your favour of the 8th instant and are pleased to inform you that we have despatched to you today the Speedometer labelled for the attention of Mr H.Royce, which is fitted with the latest compensating device and which on our tests does not show more than 2.5% error between temperatures of 12o centigrade and 35o centigrade and we would ask you to favour us by giving this instrument a test, when we feel sure you will find it quite in order.

As soon as you have carried out your tests we shall be pleased to receive your advice that we can go ahead with the manufacture of these instruments.

The dials and other parts necessary are being put in hand with the least possible delay, but we will not of course proceed further until we hear from you.

You will appreciate that the dial fitted to the instrument is a hand engraved one as of course we have not yet passed our order to the Cambridge Instrument Company for special R.2 type dials, prints etc. are, however, being forwarded to them in the course of a day or two for quotation.

Trusting you will find the instrument quite in order.

Yours faithfully,

for A.T.SPEEDOMETER CO.LTD.

(Sgd) G.O.Booth.
