Re: Exhaust Valves.

It is most important that we should revert to S.L.V. Specification No. 238.A. in place of H.R. Crown for the exhaust valves on both our 20/25 h.p. chassis and 40/50 h.p. chassis.

We should immediately stop work on H.R. Crown, and push as quickly as possible the production of valves from S.L.V.

In the meantime however, the Works must keep going with H.R.Crown valves. There is no policy at the moment to change those on chassis delivered as it is merely a question of cutting possible complaints, by moving quickly and altering the number of H.R. Crown valves that go into service.
