Questioning the use of dural connecting rods in a 10,000 miles test car after a breakage.

Referring to the above car and the dural connecting rod which broke on the 28th ult., as it was decided some little time ago that we did not propose to standardise dural rods, I am wondering why they were used in this car.

I should be interested to know whether in effecting the repair you are deleting these, and also what the present position of this car is.
