Referring to Sg.{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD}8/E.7.6.34. As at the time no new parts were available for the engine unit of this car, it ran to the old specification which included the light alloy rods. The present position of this car is that it is waiting for the strengthened front axle. In the meantime the opportunity is being taken to get other features on the car. In particular these are :- (1) New clutch, N.Sch.3948. (2) Starter motor with increased reduction gear, LeC.3892. (3) Magnesium gearbox, clutch pit and bottom half. (4) Aerolite pistons. (5) Textolite gears (Experimental scheme). (6) Carburetter float chamber and drainage scheme. (7) Unbalanced radiator shutters, LeC.3798. (8) Outside petrol tank filler, N.Sch.3929. (9) Halford silent tappets (Experimental scheme). As soon as the machining of the new front axle forging is completed the car will continue running.
