REAR ROAD SPRINGS. LOP. FB.42 NS.{Norman Scott} 3477.

Piece No FB. 27
Type Woodhead 800 lbs.
Initial Camber 2.250"
Buffer clearance 3 1/4"

Rear springs examined showed no sign of failure; lubrication of leaves was fair; shackle pins were amply lubricated. Spring clips checked were firmly tightened up.

RUDGE WHITWORTH WHEELS.

There has been no further scoring of the hubs during the remaining mileage. No wheels have come loose during the total mileage. The condition of the wheel hubs are the same as examined at 5,000 miles.

RADIATOR AND SHUTTERS. LOP. EB.1234. LEC.3798 - 3007

UNBALANCED SHUTTERS.

The central mounting of the radiator started to squeak. Upon examination the steel spherical seating of the bakerlite pad had rusted up. The water during washing of the car had apparantly got into the bearing and destroyed the lubrication. The radiator has been efficient. The shutters have been sensitive but have rattled.

EXHAUST SYSTEM LOP. EB.1155 FRONT AND INTERMEDIATE SILENCERS

MADE IN STAINLESS STEEL LAGGED WITH .375 DIAMETER ASBESTOS ROPE

TO LESSEN TINNINESS.

The only trouble experienced with the exhaust system was the slacking off and loss of bolts from the bracket attaching front expansion box to engine crankcase. The intermediate silencer made of standard steel did not show any scaling after 5,000 miles, due to being lagged.

ELECTRICAL EQUIPMENT.

IGNITION DISTRIBUTOR LOP. DB.{Donald Bastow - Suspensions}79.

The distributor has given no trouble. The contact points were in a good condition. There has been no increase of wear of the rubbing pad during the last 5,000 miles.

IGNITION COILS LOP. D.72503.

Working coil and spare mounted on same bracket to facilitate easy change over wiring arranged for same.

The coil has not given any trouble throughout the mileage.
