B-V usa BARNES-GIBSON-RAYMOND DIVISION OF ASSOCIATED SPRING CORPORATION MANUFACTURERS OF SPRINGS OF ALL DESCRIPTIONS 6400 MILLER AVENUE DETROIT, MICH. ->1360 October 19, 1936. Rolls - Royce, Ltd., Derby, England. ATTENTION: Mr. S. H.{Arthur M. Hanbury - Head Complaints} Grylls Gentlemen: - Under separate cover we are forwarding you three lots of 40 springs each. One of these lots is built to conform to your inner valve spring, as outlined on the prints furnished us. There are two lots of outer valve springs. One of these is built of .192 wire in accordance with your print; the other spring is built of .177 wire to a design which we are simply forwarding you for test. This second outer valve spring is a much higher natural period of vibration, and it occurred to us that such a spring might be worth a trial on your motor. We will be glad to hear the results of your tests on these springs, and if you advise us concerning the Bentley motor spring which we wrote you about September 28th, we will be glad to make you up 40 samples of this item. Yours very truly, BARNES GIBSON RAYMOND DIV. F.P. Zimmerli Chief Engineer. FPZ:T QUOTATIONS SUBJECT TO CHANGE WITHOUT NOTICE.
