I have Mr. Olley's letter Cyll/G28.10.20 with reference to Tungsten contact points, together with attached copy of letter from the Fansteel Products Company. We are, over here, still interested in the subject of Tungsten contact points as, although we have not so far had success with these points, we feel that such points may be used successfully provided the right course is taken. Also, Mr. Royce has expressed from time to time a desire that we should continue to test these. We think there must be some snag somewhere which prevents our getting satisfactory results. We have received a letter from the Tungsten Manufacturing Co. of London, stating that they have purchased the sole rights for Europe and the Colonies of the Fansteel Products Co. of Chicago, and would be glad to receive our enquiries as they had been informed by that Co. that you had been in correspondence with them in this matter. We have also, this afternoon, received a visit from Mr. E.H. Weston of the Tungsten Manufacturing Co. in connection with this letter, and have arranged with him that they will fit for us tungsten points to half a dozen blades and screws of our standard battery ignition, which we handed to them for the purpose.
