X8770 Mr. Bryen of Thrupp & Maberley was here yesterday shewing us their car for the Scottish Show. He mentioned that they were preparing a RR. car for South Africa. The majority of places of importance such as Cape Town in South Africa are about 5000 ft. above sea level. The average car therefore loses 15% of its power due to altitude. The RR. car will be no exception. We therefore recommend that if not already instructed, this car should have a 14-tooth axle to counteract as far as possible the reduced air density.
