The N/S Jack collapsed completely under the weight, bending at the top of the sleeve, and the Jack complete with bracket had to be removed from the car. We would like to try the heavier type Jack on the car, say with another 1/2" lift compared with the Jacks now fitted, and with an improved Jack clamping device.

Will you please let us know if this can be done, and if so, when they will be ready for fitting.

We may say that we left the car jacked up for approx. 17 hours without any loss of pressure, which is very good.

We are forwarding to you the damaged Jack for examination. The remaining three we will leave fitted to the chassis until you have the car again for the change-over.

Yours faithfully,

FOR ROLLS-ROYCE LTD.
