Your Ref: Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/FJH.{Fred J. Hardy - Chief Dev. Engineer}19/KW.

For Mr. Hardy's attention, please.

Dear Sirs,

Following the opportunity you were so good as to offer us in your letter of the 12th ultimo to produce a suitable friction lining for the servo motor in your brake system, we should like to submit four types of material for your experiments.

(1) Tenoid A non-metallic asbestos.

(2) Tenoid K.D.2. asbestos-metallic.

(3) Tenoid K.D.S. flexible non-metallic.

(4) Tenoid M moulded asbestos.

We have kept in mind that whichever type of friction lining is used it must be noiseless in operation, and we hope from one of the four types we are putting forward you will be able to select one equally suited to your servo mechanism, not only in noiseless operation, but in frictional properties and length of life.

We must mention that if you require a modification to any type you select, our Laboratory will always be glad to meet your particular requirements.
