3. The Admiralty, in giving us instructions to carry out the necessary repairs to this engine, stated that they presume the work will be carried out by us free of charge. Do you think we ought to accept responsibility for the damage and pay for the repairs? In the meantime, both the Admiralty and the War Office have agreed to the work proceeding. EP.{G.
