Steering Column.

We attach to Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/HH's copy the originals of :-

FL.959. 17.000 Dia. steering wheel with Mild Steel hub.
FL.960. Control Quadrant.
FL.961. Serrated Insert-Control Quadrant.
FL.962. Arm - Throttle control.
FL.978. Pedestal for steering column head.

The above drawings are details necessary to produce a steering column with a steering wheel having a cast iron centr, as FL.851. The remainder of the details required, to produce the complete steering column and head were detailed from FL.687 and FL.444, under cover of memo Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/HH.5/SW.12.9.41.

A print of FL.959, 17.000 Dia. steering wheel was sent to Messrs. Wilmot Breedon, under cover of memo EV{Ivan Evernden - coachwork}/JD.{J. Draper - Frames}1/JH.18.11.41. The hub centre is made in mild steel, machined all over, and painted for the first two wheels.

We suggest that Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/HH. should give the remainder of the FL. drawings detail numbers and arrange to have two sets off each produced as soon as possible.
