To _________ Order No. _________ Customer's No. 2 Both an 87° and a 97° centinel was put on dynamo 1357 which was fitted with a 28 slot armature and ran 11703 miles in France on 10 G III. On the return of the car both centinels were found melted. It is not known after what distance this occurred; the output of the machine had been set about one ampere higher than standard. Com. solder remained O.K. An 87° centinel was fitted to dynamo 1357, a standard machine on 11 G III. This was found melted after 1272 miles and a 97° fitted. This remained OK for a further 8037 miles when the dynamo was replaced by N° 161, fitted with EG 3417 brushes.
