COPY Sg{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD} COMPLAINT re W.L.P.Miesegaes. Chassis No. B.136.AH The above gentleman is a brother of Mr.Miesegaes who is interested in Dex Garages, our Retailers. He called in the Showrooms last evening and appeared to be in a fury. He started off by showing me a Studebaker car he had outside which he said is very reliable. He said since the 17th September last he has practically been without his 3½-litre Bentley as it is continually going in to our Service Works or is out of action in his garage. Since September 17th up to now the car has done approximately 1,000 miles including two trips to our Derby Works. He said he likes the running of the car, but he is always being inconvenienced by stupid little things going wrong. Now, not only are the batteries always in a weak condition, but it is impossible to dry off the brakes after washing without judder taking place, which as he put it "nearly shakes the paint off the car." He then expressed his opinion of the car in rather strong words, and said he was sick and tired of having the car pushed along the principal streets in order to make it start. I asked where the car is at present, and he said in his garage, but he is frightened to take it out owing to the brakes and the batteries. He feels that although the car has been in our hands several times, no one of importance is looking after the job, because he understands that both these items are general complaints, in fact his chauffeur was taken out in another car at our Service Dept. to prove that the brakes juddered in the same way as his own car. I naturally regretted the inconvenience he had been caused, and said that the matter would be placed before you. Bly.{B. W. Bleaney - Bentley Sales} | ||
