As regards the electrical figures of volts and amperes, these apply to the windings as at present arranged and will certainly have to be altered (see below) but as these do not affect Mr. Davis directly we are leaving them in for the moment.

Various alterations have been made to the springs and flexible leads, but it is understood that particulars of these mechanical alterations are being given to the D.O. by the Expl. Shop.

As regards the windings electrically it will be necessary to make the following modifications :-

(1) The teazer winding of the motor must be altered from 18 to ~~16~~ 17 SWG. The No. of turns (~~16~~ 17 SWG) to be such as to occupy the same space as the present winding.

(2) The winding of the actuator box coil must be altered from 18 SWG to ~~16~~ 18 SWG. The No. of turns should again be such as to occupy the same space as the present winding.

The two windings of the relay switch unit must be altered in such a way as to give a bigger proportion of the total winding space to the hold-on coil, and a smaller proportion to the heavy current coil.

The new hold-on coil winding must now consist of 200 turns or thereabouts of ~~26~~ 27 SWG. in place of 28 SWG.

The No. of turns of the heavy current winding must remain the same, but the cross section of the strip used ~~anxkhxhxwi~~ in making the winding must be reduced just the amount which will allow the new hold-on winding to be got in.
