14707 Exptl. Dept. Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}17/KW. 30th July, 1934. F.F. Kishline, Esq., The Graham-Paige Corporation, Detroit, Michigan, U.S.A. Dear Mr. Kishline, Here is a copy of a preliminary report on the Graham-Paige Blower taken in our usual methods on the test rig. Naturally this merely gives you the information which you already know, we thought it might be of some interest. We have heard from your Antwerp Branch that they are shipping us the blower, and we are awaiting its arrival with considerable interest. Our Graham car after less than 2,000 miles is detonating rather badly. We should like to know whether you find it necessary to decarbonise at frequent intervals, or whether you can rely on a higher octane value for the fuel you use in America. We are running this car on Pratt's Ethyl, the figure for which is about 75 C.F.R. high temperature. We will keep you in touch with any development work we carry out on the blower which we think will be of interest to you. Yours sincerely, FOR ROLLS-ROYCE LIMITED. | ||
