(3) Riley Wheels.

These gave no trouble on the road.

(4) Disc Clutch.

This clutch occasionally engaged rather too vigorously to be pleasant, and the jingling of the plates on disengagement and gear changing was particularly noticeable. Apparently, the clutch gave considerable trouble in connection with the changing of gear.

(5) Spring controlled Foot-brake.

No report on this is possible, except that the driver was able to pull up comfortably under the conditions met with, which were not particularly awkward.

(6) No. 2. 4's Pitch Axle.

This axle was to me rather disappointing with a covered body. My opinion in this matter is not of much value, because this is the first 4's pitch I have tried under these conditions.
The noise when picking up was quite noticeable, but of course, not to be compared with the general run of the 5's pitch which I have tried under these conditions.

(7) Cast Iron Engine Gears.

These were not noticeable in the back seats, but I do not think it is possible to observe the running of engine gears from this position.
