For the attention of Mr. Corner.

Dear Sirs,

Phantom III Wheel Discs.

We understand that our Works sent to you a sample Phantom III wheel to enable you to make some wheel discs, and that the wheel/complete with discs has been returned to us. This wheel has been fitted to a Phantom III car, and our Works report as follows:-

"We find that the inner side of the disc fouls the nuts on the brake drum. In order to clear, it will be necessary to fit the disc .0625" clear of the inner spokes. At present the clearance is .025" at this point. The actual clearance between the inner spokes and the nuts on the brake drum is .1875".

If you think this information is enough to enable you to correct the discs please let us know, and we will return the wheel and discs to you. If, however, you would like to see the wheel fitted to a car and would like to come over, we would be delighted to show you the difficulty.

Yours faithfully,

For and on behalf of
ROLLS-ROYCE LTD.
