To E/Ev.{Ivan Evernden - coachwork} X1091 Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/FD.{Frank Dodd - Bodies}14/KW.22.4.36. Re Phantom III Ace Wheel Discs. We have tried the wheel fitted with a disc, as supplied by Messrs. Cornercroft Ltd., on a Ph.III hub. We find that the inner side of the disc fouls the nuts on the brake drum, to clear it will be necessary to fit the disc .0625" clear of the inner spokes. At present the clearance is .025" at this point. The actual clearance between the inner spokes and the brake drum nuts is .1875". You would no doubt like to see this before writing Cornercrofts and returning the wheel. Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/F.Dodd. | ||
