I have now been able to give this car a very careful series of tests since its return from W.

I consider the steering as it is at present to be perfectly O.K. but it is certainly very different to what it was on the occasion of my previous test.

While previously it was definitely stiff, more particularly on one lock, there being a noticeable difference between the stiffness on each lock, now its stiffness has completely gone and only firmness remains, which is more particularly appreciated in the comparative irreversibility at slow speeds, i.e. below about 12 m.p.h.

In fact, I find in this car between its condition now and formerly exactly the same difference as between the two states of the Salamanca Trials car we all tested together at W.

BJ. tested this car himself this morning and agrees that it is quite acceptable although he deplores the necessity of comparative irreversibility at low speeds and trusts it will be possible at some later date to re-acquire this merit.
