You recently arranged that a set of bigger wheels and tyres should be supplied to the above owner. (See Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}3/R.27.1.38). These were to be non-chargeable.

The owner now asks what credit we can allow him on the wheels and tyres which have been removed, and failing any credit being given, can he have the tyres back, as he could use them on another car.

I presume that we cannot agree to either of his requests as if we supply wheels and tyres for nothing, he can hardly expect more.

However, before writing to him, I thought I had better ask you in case there are any circumstances of which I do not know.
