Dear Sirs,

We beg to thank you for your letter of the 10th inst., We note that you will be returning to us the model with spring attachment, and that you are working on this, with a view to making suggestions, which we shall be very happy to receive. Nevertheless we will proceed with investigations at our end.

We note that you do not want to make any alterations and we are in entire accord with you, pending the result of at least a 10,000 mile test.

We agree that a nut on the end of the small screw would be preferable to the thread in the sheet metal, and there would be no difficulty in this being arranged.
