x4522 Exptl. Dept. Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/FJH.{Fred J. Hardy - Chief Dev. Engineer}9/KW. 8th January, 1935. H.{Arthur M. Hanbury - Head Complaints} Spicer, Esq., Messrs. Wilmot-Breeden Ltd., Eastern Works, Camden Street, Birmingham 1. Dear Mr. Spicer, Thank you for your letter of the 7th inst. It is very unfortunate that delivery of the six Bumpers is delayed, as we cannot give sanction for delivery to our Sales Dept. until we have approved of a sample submitted to us. We of course hope to be able to do this when we receive the six. Your Mr. Ellis rang me up yesterday and told me that the Silent Blocs were holding up the Bumpers. We suggest that you proceed with the manufacture of Bumpers for the London Depot, but do not deliver any until you hear from us. Yours faithfully, FOR ROLLS-ROYCE LIMITED. | ||
