Dear Mr. Hardy,

Thanks for your letter of the 4th instant.

We are sorry to say that the modification submitted by you for the end cap has caused a delay in the despatch of the six Bumpers. There is no doubt that our Mr. Ellis has communicated with you regarding the altered delivery date.

We are being pressed by our London Depot to supply them with bumpers for the Bentley car to the latest specification, which is known as Type A.{Mr Adams} If you remember, at the discussion we had here when our London Manager was with us, it was agreed that we should not supply these to London until we had your sanction. I should be very pleased if you would look into this matter for me, and let us know whether we are in order in supplying these to specification Type A, as I believe your London people are bringing pressure to bear on him for deliveries of the above.
