We have now received our Fitting Manager's report following his visit to your works in company with our Fitter when we understand he found that the Jacks, Brackets and Piping on the 5-B-4 had been removed to permit the fitting of new rear springs. After refitting the original off-side rear bracket this was found to be perfectly satisfactory. We are afraid that the reason for the fractured bracket to which you refer in your letter of the 26th November last was owing to the fact that, after same was removed, it was incorrectly placed on the axle and your fitter tightened the "U" Bolts before locating the bracket in the correct position. We understand that the new front brackets were duly fitted and the installation completed with the exception of clipping up the copper pipe, which latter work could not be effected as the necessary clips were not available.
