Bentley Aluminium Drums.

When the inspectors have finished with the drums off 6-B-IV, which have scored badly, will you please :-

(1) Clean up the near side front drum on a lathe, and keep it as a spare.

(2) Cut out the lining of the off side front drum (first removing the lock plates) measure up the aluminium case to determine its diameter and insert a new liner.

The object of this is to see if we can save worn drums off customers cars.

In the course of an experiment we had to remove the hub from an aluminium drum. We have handed this drum and hub to T. Fisher.

(3) Will you please build this up again, and if necessary time it up on a lathe.

Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/A.F.Martindale.
