To RHC.{R. H. Coverley - Production Engineer} from Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} X7430 Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/LG19.1.27. 14-EX STEERING. With reference to the steering of EAC-7. We find that the worm and nut on this car are very reversible, more so than on any of our other experimental 40/50 HP. cars. The worm and nut appear to be particularly free in the central position. Before we alter either the pendulum lever or the side steering tube on this car we should like to try another worm and nut in the column which would definitely be considered on the tight side in the central position. In connection with the steering reversibility. We are anxious to test out the friction device now being prepared for 12-EX and should be glad if you could urge this.
