R.R. 235A (100 H) (LL 354. 3.7.12) (2) 2599. Copy Petrol Consumption Tests. Mr. Platford. 5/10/12. CJ6/D51012. Please note attached memo. FHRL/H11012, and then hand it over to Mr. Barrington for the T. C. I hear that the 60 H.P. Napier has done the L-E-L trial with over 27 miles to the gallon. Do you think there is a possibility of the R-R equalling this performance? I understand that in the Napier case they were allowed to stop the engine going down hill. Please ascertain from Waldron whether the engine was stopped in the experiments referred to on the enclosed when the clutch was out and the gears were in. C. J.{Mr Johnson W.M.} | ||
