The car which is now going out to France, I understand, will be an example of the above, and we should like further tests to be made by PN{Mr Northey}, CWB, ( and if Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} can afford the time, that he should also accompany them) specially to make tests with and without the medium pressure tyres.

We should also like to know how soon other cars so fitted could go out to France, if possible, with other types of closed bodies.

The whole matter requires very urgent and careful consideration, more especially in view of the fact that we are now making Hydraulic shock-absorbers and the .72 steering etc. pending the result of the tests, and we wish to come to an early conclusion in regard to the use of the well-base medium pressure tyres.

We should be interested to know what tests it is intended to make in regard to the viscosity of oil and the valve springs to be used on the Hydraulic shock-absorbers, by making practical tests on the roads in France, and when these tests will be made, in order that PN{Mr Northey} and CWB may test the cars when these points are being decided on in order to form their opinion as to which is best.

There seems one point on which there is not doubt viz; that the Hydraulic shock-absorbers have made a considerable difference to the front wheel steering wobble, as on the White car, (although PN{Mr Northey} obtained one wobble) otherwise when wobbles began to appear, they did not develope but only continued for a short time and thenceased.

It is hoped that by means of further experiments with the viscosity of oil etc. to be able to actually obliterate even the wheel wobbles of minor duration.

After considering the whole matter, PN{Mr Northey}, CWB and Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} arrived at their general conclusions and were able to telegraph:-

"There need be no delay in fitting three steering modifications".
