The graph illustrates that very little movement of the lever relative to the shaft occurred until the elastic limit of the shaft was exceeded, i.e., up to 170 lbs/ft. approximately. After reaching the yield point of mhe shaft, slip occurred and final shearing of the knurling was attained at 465 lbs/ft. torque. Hs {Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} /W.Bell. | ||
