SUBFRAMES FOR AMERICAN "S.S".

We would be glad if Derby would immediately put in hand three body subframes for the three experimental left hand chassis to be put in hand. In consequence of the decision that the wheel base should be 150ins. the frames will be exactly the same as those for the right hand chassis save for the front cross member, designs for which we have in hand.

One frame will be required by us in the early part of March if we are to have a body ready for the first chassis which will be ready for the road by the middle of May.

Two of these frame should be that required for short bodies with the rear floor just clearing the chassis frame. The third should be the standard type for a large body. The first we shall require will be of the form er type.

We suggest that the bodies should be, in the order of their making. (1) Sports Saloon as on 18.EX.
(2) An attractive Open Car such as the American Coachbuilders sell
(3) A maximum body of a popular American Type.

We are taking up the question of the types of body with Sg.{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD} immediately with a view to getting this confirmed of otherwise bu in the meantime we hope tha. the first subrrame can go ahead.
