1020 Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/RJH.1/ET. 7th October, 1940. Messrs. Vandervell Products Ltd., Western Avenue, Park Royal, L O N D O N W. 3. Attention C.A. Vandervell, Esq. Dear Sirs, We are having some trouble with the side shaft bearings in one of our types of car gearbox and would like to try bushes of your tri-metal construction with the thin internal layer of whitemetal. We enclose a print, Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}648, which shows this application and would be glad if you would let us know whether you could supply some bushes for trial purposes. Unfortunately we are unable to alter the diameter of the shaft without altering the gearbox casing, owing to the method of assembly, so prefer to avoid this if possible. If you can supply will you please let us know the cost of samples and tool charges. Yours faithfully, Enclosure:- 1 Print of Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}648. | ||
