Dear Sirs,

We thank you for your letter of the 18th.inst. sent for Mr.Buckland's attention, but as he is out of town today we are dealing with this matter and give you the following information.

This instrument is now being tested over a number of miles and will be definitely sent to you tomorrow Friday, the 20th.inst. passenger train.

Mr.Buckland will probably be writing you later on this subject.
