Notes cont'd.{John DeLooze - Company Secretary} Sg{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD}15/EB.4.38 - 3 - 12. Introduction of Girling Brakes. It was decided to introduce these on the last 100 of 'M' Series. B.III. 13. Sg.{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD} raised the question of whether it was proposed to standardise disc wheels for these as on B.50. The answer is: No. 14. Weight of Cars. Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}9/R19.3.38. This was gone through and there is nothing more really to say other than what is contained therein, except that it was agreed in reference to the last paragraph that we must still regard B.III as a Sports car on which performance is of very great importance. 15. General position of car. Reference was made to Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}7/R18.3.38 setting out the position at that date. 16. Date for next car on road with lowered floor etc. BY.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} has given us a new programme - BY.2/8.5.4.38, showing that the second car instead of being a B.III will be a B.50. 17. Date for 1st car. This is referred to above. 18. Widney Bonnet hinge. RHC{R. H. Coverley - Production Engineer}/SB.{Mr Bull/Mr Bannister}1/MJ.26.3.38. Something on the lines of this is intended for B.III and B.50. 19. High Powered Head Position. The main engine is now being detailed. 20. Electrical Equipment. The question of what we have, i.e. RR or proprietary articles depends on cost comparisons. 21. New Features. Direction Indicator. Sg.{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD} said that he would be quite satisfied to have an arrangement like that on the Jaguar on new models provided it was [Handwritten note on right margin]: (illegible) new? dearer?
