R.R. 235A (100 T) (S.H. 159, 11-8-20) G.{Mr Griffiths - Chief Accountant / Mr Gnapp} 2800 TO HS.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} from R.{Sir Henry Royce} c. to CJ. BY c. to E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} DA{Bernard Day - Chassis Design} ORIGINAL Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} FEB 1 1928 RECEIVED R3/M31.1.23. BIJUR STARTER DRIVE. X3587 In reply to your Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}4/LG29123., it is no scheme at all which fails with a few drops of oil. Can you reproduce the fault with such treatment? I am not sure that the Bijur is more silent than the Bendix. The Bendix I understand cannot be made to fail, and our superior design should not break. Therefore, if you find the Bijur unreliable, had'nt we better go back to the Bendix? On Seagull we are fitt-ing our own scheme like on the 40/50, or better. R.{Sir Henry Royce} | ||
